1. Cambria Chardonay y Pinot Noir

Santa Barbara has numerous microclimates coupled with a wide variety of soil types. For this reason, winemakers think of it as viticultural nirvana, and its owners treat the land as a VIP.

In 2020, it was named one of the Top 100 Wineries by Wine & Spirits magazine. Undoubtedly, they are two specimens that we should take advantage of the opportunity to taste.

2. Brandlin Cabernet Sauvignon

The history of this winery dates back to the 1870s when the Brandlin family emigrated from Switzerland. Their alpine heritage led them to pioneer a farm atop Mount Veeder. Where others saw challenges, they saw potential.

In 1926, Henry Brandlin added viticulture to the list of family enterprises by planting the first vines on the Brandlin Estate.

Some of the accolades this extraordinary Brandlin Cabernet Sauvignon has achieved were 93 Wine Spectator points in 2018 and 94 points in 2019.

3. Duckhorn Postmark Cabernet Sauvignon

A postmark is an official stamp traditionally affixed to letters to indicate an important place and date. Sharing a bottle of wine creates the same experience.

This Paso Robles Postmark is like a letter from a friend, bringing joy when you open it.

This delicious blend comprises 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc.

4. Planeta Eruzione

The history of Etna is marked by the historical eruptions that have shaped it. One of the legendary eruptions was in 1614, lasted ten years, and stopped right at the edge of the Sciaranuova vineyard.

This Nerello Mascalese, grown at altitude in the best black soils, is cheerful, fun, and an intensely aromatic red wine with an elegant and silky structure; it blooms in the mouth like the first rays of sunshine in spring. Ideal for this time of the year.

5. Bortolomiol Ius Naturae

This is the legacy Giuliano left to his wife Ottavia and his daughters, who, with a “natural” instinct, have sustained what their father built and taken on new challenges to ensure the revolution. Bortolomion uses viticulture techniques, adapting the family vineyards to the European Union standards for organic viticulture.

We chose Brut for its more international appeal, Millesimato, to highlight the characteristics of each vintage in accordance with the Ius Naturae, or “natural law”.

6. Bodega Los Cedros Fusión

In 2009, they planted the first vineyard on a small plot of land. After a long learning process, they overcame frosts, hail, droughts, pests and other problems until 2012, when they had their first wine.

Rated 93 points in the Peñín Guide 2023, “Fusión” is the result of an extraordinary blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz, varieties that have adapted excellently to the Sierra de Arteaga in Coahuila.
