Feel at home

Located in the downtown areas of La Paz and Cabo San Lucas, this 100 percent South Californian company continues to pursue a vision of expansion. As experts in the attractions of the Baja peninsula, the company has become true travel experts.

The Castro Salazar family ventured into the hospitality industry in the 1930’s as shareholders in a former La Paz hotel. Two generations later, the children and grandchildren of Castro Salazar opened the first 7 Seven Crown hotel in Los Cabos in 1999.

“The Castro Salazar Family foresaw the growth of La Paz and Los Cabos with the growth in the business sector. The idea for the first hotel came from a businessman from La Paz who was traveling to Los Cabos for work and could not always return the same day. The building consisted of small apartments.”

The Seven Crown Hotels have made a name for themselves by abiding by their family values of integrity, honesty, hard work and service. Those values have been maintained through expansions by providing practical, comfortable, accessible spaces, with unbeatable locations.

Logo:

The Castro family chose the name “7 Hotel” for the first property. It is a lucky number and the same number of the grandfather’s public notary. The original logo was a 7 inside a circle. It was sent to Mexico City to be manufactured out of metal. Since it was large, the finished piece was returned in two parts. The first part was the number 7 with a half circle that quickly became the identifiable C of the family name! The rest is history.
