Los Cabos had the opportunity to hold over 1,200 business meetings with leading international representatives in the meetings, events, and incentive travel industry after successfully participating in IMEX America 2023. This event is considered the principal event for this industry and was held in Las Vegas from October 17th to 19th, 2023. ., . . . .
A delegation of 30 tourism partners, consisting of 16 hotel representatives, 11 DMCs, and three service providers, exceeded the previous edition’s achievements. In the last edition, 600 business meetings were held. This accomplishment consolidates and strengthens the work to promote the meetings industry in the destination. As one of the most essential activities, Los Cabos accounts for 6.8% of the state GDP (Gross domestic product). Note: The PBI ( Producto Interno Bruto) is the same as GDP (Gross domestic product).
For the fourth consecutive time, the destination showcased its beautiful tourist attractions with a unique stand designed by artist Iván Guadarrama. The avant-garde proposal integrated the essence of the destination, inspiring visitors to explore its characteristic aspects and discover its hidden beauty.
At the Los Cabos stand, the delegation conducted presentations for 120 potential and returning clients as part of recent activities. The presentations aimed to introduce new services and experiences that can be added to their service portfolio and provide better organization for future events in the destination. The goal was to enhance the destination’s service offerings and make it more appealing to potential clients. . . . . . . . .
On the other hand, representatives from the destination created a presentation for 200 event planners during Smart Monday in collaboration with Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Additionally, they collaborated with the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) for the second year in a row, participating in a networking event where they had brand presence and other activities to promote their destination.
